Private Airports & FBOs Serving Napa, Sonoma & the San Francisco Bay Area

Choose a private-aviation arrival point only after comparing the aircraft plan, confirmed FBO, final Napa or Sonoma address, passenger needs, and the complete ground itinerary.

Compare Napa and Sonoma private-airport options

Napa County Airport (APC) is the local private-aviation option in Napa. The verified operator list identifies Atlantic Aviation Napa and Skyservice Napa at APC, so the flight party must confirm which facility will handle the arrival.

Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport (STS) serves Santa Rosa and Sonoma County. Its verified private-aviation options are KaiserAir STS and Sonoma Jet Center. APC can fit a Napa-centered itinerary, while STS can fit a Sonoma-centered itinerary; neither choice replaces aircraft, operator, and final-address confirmation.

Planning notes

  • APC: Atlantic Aviation Napa or Skyservice Napa
  • STS: KaiserAir STS or Sonoma Jet Center
  • Choose from the confirmed flight plan and final Wine Country address

Compare SFO, SJC, and OAK FBO options

The verified Bay Area list identifies Signature Aviation SFO at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), Atlantic Aviation SJC and Signature Aviation SJC at San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC), and Signature Aviation OAK at Oakland International Airport (OAK).

These airports may fit an aircraft requirement, a Bay Area meeting, or a wider itinerary even when Wine Country is the final destination. Compare the actual Napa or Sonoma address, arrival time, road conditions, and confirmed operator instead of treating the three Bay Area codes as interchangeable.

Planning notes

  • SFO: Signature Aviation SFO
  • SJC: Atlantic Aviation SJC or Signature Aviation SJC
  • OAK: Signature Aviation OAK

Give dispatch the exact FBO handoff

An airport code does not identify the passenger meeting point. Send the confirmed FBO name, tail number, operator or handler contact, estimated arrival, lead passenger mobile, and any current pickup instructions.

FBO access and ramp-side permissions are controlled by the facility. The chauffeur follows the operator’s current directions and cannot assume ramp access, customs handling, or a meeting location that has not been approved.

Planning notes

  • Confirmed FBO—not airport code alone
  • Tail number and live operator contact
  • Approved passenger meeting point

Match the ground vehicle to the arriving party

Count passengers, crew movements, checked luggage, golf bags, child seats, mobility equipment, and anticipated wine purchases before selecting a vehicle. A cabin party that fits one aircraft configuration may still need more than one ground vehicle.

Tell dispatch whether passengers and crew leave together, whether luggage arrives separately, and whether the vehicle continues on retained service after hotel drop-off. These details determine capacity and staging better than passenger count alone.

Planning notes

  • List every passenger and luggage item
  • Separate passenger and crew plans where needed
  • Confirm whether service ends at the hotel or continues

Build a realistic arrival-day itinerary

Avoid placing a tight winery or dinner reservation immediately after the estimated landing. Schedule changes, passenger release, luggage, the FBO handoff, road conditions, and hotel check-in all sit between touchdown and the next appointment.

For a direct arrival, provide one exact hotel or residence address. If the day continues to tastings or dining, share every confirmed stop and keep the route geographically coherent. Reconfirm material flight or passenger changes as soon as they occur.

Planning notes

  • Protect the first fixed reservation with a buffer
  • Use exact hotel, estate, and restaurant addresses
  • Keep dispatch informed of schedule changes
